SOMETHING WEIRD COLLECTION

Well mainly because they are the greatest company to ever put out cult/exploitation/horror and various other celluloid atrocities and absurdities onto VHS and little silver discs for our entertainment. The depth of their catalog is so immense (3000?? movies) that whenever I think I have seen it all, I find new titles popping their nutty little heads up. Of course there's the ever popular HG Lewis gore-a-ramas, the wacko 1960s nudie-cuties, the psychedelic freak-out hippie trash, sexploitation, psychos-on-the-loose and every other flavor of cinematic strangeness in between.
The main thing that sets it apart is that it was created and has been run by people who get it. It's like the ultimate cult-movie fan (Mike Vraney, RIP) got a chance to shine a light on a treasure trove of bizarre obscurities that would have otherwise been lost to time had it not been for an amazing effort and we've all gained because of this.
Also being a fan of the band The Cramps, Something Weird is a great place to find the flicks that inspired them. Stuff like ALL WOMEN ARE BAD and FIEND OF DOPE ISLAND are a couple of obvious examples. So what's not to love?
